Festival Trailer For 'Deadgirl'

One of the films that played at this year's Toronto International Film Festival was Marcel Sarmiento and Gadi Harel's coming-of-age horror thriller Deadgirl, which was written by genre vet Trent Haaga. If you check out the film's official website, you can check out the festival trailer. The movie is about two teenagers who make a shocking discovery that not only threatens their friendship but also their lives. In a forgotten room of an abandoned asylum, they find a beautiful woman tied to a bed, and soon come to realize she is anything but dead.

Vinyan Poster

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group bought the domestic rights to the film making it the first film sold at TIFF. Below you can see the poster for Vinyan.

Fabrice Du Welz's film stars Rufus Sewell and Emmanuelle Beart as a couple searching for their missing son in a jungle filled with feral children. No release plans have been announced yet.

First few reviews from the Toronto International Film Festival

There's is still week left of this year's Toronto International Film Festival, and already the reviews are starting to be released.

Bloody-Disgusting has posted their official review of Franck Vestiel's sci-fi horror film Eden Log. In addition to Bloody-Disgustings review for Pascal Laugier's French horror pic Martyrs, Twitch Films have posted a review for the film. Also over at Twitch Film is a review of Fabrice Du Welz's 'Vinyan' and a positive review of AJ Annila‘s Finnish "J-horror" movie Sauna.
